Von Bear Poems

off the grid

the illness

under saint judes cover
corporal obsession juxtapose mystic mercy
bell ringers summon rictus grin
vampires
velvet veining ruby flows
fussing prognostications
calculate
that most honest debt

unholy hour marches expectations mocked by einsteins chalk
cracked lip intercessions
soothe darkened conscience
between crumbling dimensions
the old language – “dio mio/dio mio”
smiles and hums recovered innocence
faith in His design
absorbs all never known

yes kit there is depression

leave a comment »

waking brain on
fire
insatiable flames lick
hells ass

sleepless
depression
builds desperation
blocks

on babels
tower
wrecking balls
crush
skull

world turns
yellow red ball
universe burns to
the ground

good news

sometimes
she apologizes
a lot
herself
humble
fear loops
anxiety
something done
or said

and

i
being
close
peek through my
mind
her standing on truth
unconditional fire
dry tears
streaming
softly

her trembles
push my
guilt
uncut treasure
hidden in scarlet
satin

the knot loosed
spirit free
calling others
to the good news
completes
our forever
my love

dawns
inevitable schedule
our separation
hunt and gather
sustain
go on

gauze awareness
moments before living
begins
sensing
we pull to
the other

after the deepness
euphoric
glow together
we marvel
at
the unscheduled

ice axe

Ice axe
anchor set on
a shifting perch
body flat yet
akimbo
terror a crumbling precipice
pleading
relief from mortalities limbo
a time after a priori
when thoughts were critical
before fools whatever
faith moved us forward

portrait of a young friend

dancing smiles away
days requirements
damaged merchandise below cost
tropical island paradise adrift on
black ice ponds

self fulfilled beauty
singing fear beyond young
idealism
hard look risks
herself
just for today

top billing

trying
to define feelings
for you.
thoughts cocked right and left
like some inquisitive parrot

a slightly bent reel
spools
freeze framed images
projecting fireworks credits
your name scrolls up
first
top billing
